Who Should Take a Taser Training Class?

A Taser is an electroshock weapon. Tasers fire two small barbed darts at a person in order to disrupt their voluntary control of muscles– causing neuromuscular incapacitation. The barbed darts puncture a person’s skin and remain attached. They travel 180 feet per second and their range extends from 15 to 35 feet. Police officers use them as do regular citizens, at least where Tasers are legal. Tasers are legal to carry in 45 states. For those who want to own and carry them, they should take a Taser training class so they learn how to safely carry, store and employ this device.

If you’re someone who wants to protect yourself but you don’t want to carry a firearm, perhaps the Taser is a good choice. You might want to add it to your personal protection gear. It could help you improve both your confidence and protection skills. Of course you should take the Taser training class in order to learn more about personal safety as well as situational awareness. There are certain times and situations that call for the use of Tasers, and you should realize “when” it makes sense to use this device. The class might also help you follow the laws/rules of your particular state or municipality which wants to know who owns a Taser and whether or not they know how to use it!

Security Training Center offers a Taser class so you can understand the importance of being a responsible Taser owner. You’ll discuss concealed/open carry options, the proper stance for stability with a Taser, how to handle, grip and present the device, as well as how to “stop, breathe and focus,” plus “use your senses and voice commands,” so that you’re using your Taser wisely.

Do you want to learn laws and rights regarding Tasers? Want to learn how to recognize suspicious people, behaviors and activities? Take Security Training Center’s Taser training class. Please call 773-445-4413 for more info or visit this page.
